At this time there is no shipping available to Canada or Foreign locations. Shipments to warm locations will be handled differently during warmer weather and the website will inform you of that in advance should it be an issue [usually only in the Summer]. In some cases it will be restricted to Overnight Shipping via the USPS at a surcharge. The USPS goes to 90% of the US via Express mail [there are some secondary locations that still take 2 days]. We include fozen gel packs at no extra charge with each shipment during warm weather.
For standard website orders, most are completed and shipped that day if ordered before 12:00 pm EDT/EST, otherwise allow 1 business days from order placement for shipping and also an additional 1-3 business days for time in transit via USPS Priority Mail. Time in transit varies based on USPS delivery routes [Metro NYC is 1 day]. See attached Priority Mail chart: We do not offer expedited shipping [Next Day, Overnight, etc.] at this time except during warm weather times [mentioned above], nor do we use FedEx or UPS and can not accommodate requests for using those services for individual shipments [but may use them for bulk shipping].
Ordering and Shipping-Tracking
The e-mail listed by the ordering party [not the Recipient] will receive an email with tracking information when the shipment is queued up and sent, with a link to the USPS's Website for tracking. Allow one to two days after notice to start tracking. Presently, the USPS delivers to most locations 6 days a week-including Saturday. Shipping destinations include P.O. Box and APO/FPO addresses and all US Locations including AK, PR & HI. We cannot ship packages to arrive on a Sunday or Monday delivery date.
Ordering and Shipping-Warm Weather
We do ship chocolate [ChocolateText boxes] during warm weather or to warmer parts of the country and to warm climates in the U.S. all year long. Our shipping staff monitors the temperatures where your package is being delivered and selects the appropriate shipping method and timing. Shipments to warm weather locations are usually sent earlier in the week and will not be sent over the weekend. If this order is going during the warmer months, you will be notified of any additional charges on the website before ordering-usually via Overnight Express USPS at a minor upchaarge.
SelfieTin products ship via Prioriy Mail all year without any additional surcharge.
Ordering and Shipping-Future Date Shipping
We can hold your order for a future delivery date, in many circumstances. Please immediately put this request in the Additional Information Section on the order form at checkout and also send a separate e-mail with this request to info@chocolatetext.com Please reference your order number, and approximate day you want this to arrive [give us a minimum 3 day window]. You must send this email simultaneously with your order so we may pull it out from immediate shipping. We can not guarantee that each request can be honored and an order held, but we will try to do our best to accommodate your needs.
Ordering and Shipping-Multiple Items
You may order multiple items in your cart at one time, and you will receive only one order number for the total transaction with the opportunity to write one message card for the entire order. Each item would incur its own shipping charge, and may be shipped separately, with multiple tracking numbers. You will be notified of this when you receive an order confirmation with USPS tracking number[s].
Ordering and Shipping-Multiple Recipients
In order to ship to multiple people on one order, you need to enter their complete first and last names in the recipient field, start with complete names while there is still room in the "First Name" and "Last Name" areas on the form.
Sales Tax
We only charge Sales Tax on shipments placed from a New Jersey location [based on your Credit Card Billing Address at checkout] or being delivered to a New Jersey address. New Jersey also requires us to collect Sales Tax on the shipping portion for these orders.
Product Care and Storage
It is best to keep chocolates at room temperature [55-72F], in low humidity and away from direct sunlight and any strong odors. Should any chocolate arrive slightly melted, it is again best to hold at room temperature to reform. NEVER refrigerate chocolate as that may lead to blooming {white appearing on the top}. Blooming is not damaging to the product or taste, but just a reaction to temperature changes whereby the cocoa butter rises to the surface – it is completely fine to consume. A large amount of the Halloween candy our children consume has this blooming effect.
Allergy Information
ALL of our dark, milk, and white chocolate may contain dairy or milk products. Any person with a dairy allergy should NOT consume ANY of our products. Additionally, our products are produced in a factory that works with tree and other nuts. Any person with a nut allergy should NOT consume ANY of our products. Q: When addressing mail to a Military Post Office™ (MPO), should I also use the city and country name?
A: No. Always use the APO or FPO address, without the name of the city and country. This is to make sure the item is handled in the military mail system instead of the international mail system.
INCORRECT:

123RD ENG 2ND PLT - B CO
APO AE 09398-9998

Q: Can I track a package addressed to an location with the tracking number electronically supplied by Stamps.com from the USPS when my order is shipped?
A: Part-way. The USPS tracking number you receive when the parcel is queued up for shipping is sent to you automatically from our system. This is traceable usually a day after shipped and is traceable only to the Military location's mail room. It may still take a little more time to get to the actual recipient depending on base procedures, location, etc.
Q: How long will it take for mail to reach an MPO?
A: Listed below are the Department of Defense (DoD) mail transit times for delivering mail to overseas APO / FPO locations (delivery time begins with the time of acceptance).

DISCLAIMER: Listed transit times (from the chart above) are measured from the local post office (Anywhere, USA) to arrival at a military postal unit overseas. This transit time includes three to four days to go from the local post office to the U. S. Postal Service "gateway" (New York or San Francisco). At the gateway mail is sorted, bagged, and tagged to arrive at a military postal unit overseas. While commercial aircraft are very consistent, there could be a large variation in transit times due to military aircraft schedules, weather, transportation and military operations in theater, or movement of a service member's unit. Thus, these can vary and you need to add in the 1-3 days production time to fulfill your order [timing varies with time of year]

Q: Are there programs such as "Any Service Member or Any Wounded Warrior" that allow me to send items to any service member?
A: This practice is prohibited due to the risks facing deployed military forces. Previous programs that allowed people to send mail to service members unknown to them were discontinued following the terrorist attacks of 2001. This includes the "Any Service Member, Any Wounded Warrior, Any Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine" mail program for military personnel. Mail to "Any Service Member" will not be delivered. This restriction applies to all classes and types of mail.

Q: How is mail routed to Navy ships and Marine Corps units?
A: After processing at the Military Gateway, mail for Navy and Marine forces on board ships is flown to a Fleet Mail Center such as the one in Bahrain or Sigonella (Italy). FPO mail is sorted and transported to the individual ships by various means (often by small aircraft called Carrier Onboard Delivery (COD), to an aircraft carrier), often in conjunction with a supply mission. Vessels other than aircraft carriers normally get their mail during port visits or by re-supply ship if remaining at sea for longer periods of time
Q: Have Zips been given out to units?
A: Contingency ZIP Codes have been issued, and activated to units for all Services (Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Additional contingency ZIP Codes will be issued if later warranted.
Q: Are there plans to censor mail to and from the theater
A: The DOD does not, nor have any plans to censor mail. Current laws protect the privacy of mail once it is placed within the postal system. Custom officials under customs laws may open packages.

Prisoners of War/Missing in Action Service Members
More than 83,000 service members, from World War II to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, are either prisoners of war (POW) or missing in action (MIA). The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) is responsible for the recovery and accounting of these missing service members.
The DPAA, established in 2015, consolidates former agencies working on aspects of POW/MIA recovery. Part of its mission is to keep family members of missing personnel informed.
